China in China : This is a photo collection of Imperial ceramics from the Palace Museum in Beijing. It includes a teapot exhibition and a selection of ceramics from the porcelain conservation institute in the Palace Museum. The vast majority of these, due to the quantity originally created, are 19th and early 20th century china from Empress Cixi's court. Cixi was known for ordering 100 dishes to taste for every important meal, of which she'd only eat one or two ... which means her staff used a lot of dishes.

I did it backwards, entering through the Empresses' quarters and exiting through the monumental public areas in the South, a journey which took me from Empress Cixi through many emperors and finally to Mao.
