FuzzyChef  > Ceramics > Ware & Glazes > Cone 9 Oxidation Dec. 24, 2007
My last Cone 9 electric firing in Oregon. Enjoy the glazes, you may not see them again. This kiln overfired a bit and was closer to Cone 10 than 9.

FuzzyChef > one of the best verdigris matte pieces I've done. It's running over the madrone ash 20 here.
FuzzyChef > dolomite rutile blue on mug. As you can see, the glaze is pretty boring on this piece, which is an example of why I wasn't particularly happy with it.
FuzzyChef > midnight 1234 in a bowl. Outside is Madrone Ash 20, but it washed out so I didn't photo it.
FuzzyChef > Dolomite rutile blue with a rim of metallic black. This is how the blue is supposed to turn out all the time, but it only worked like this on about 1/3 of pieces.
FuzzyChef > Verdigris Matte on the outside, glossy soda white on the inside. Trick with the verdigris is to apply it moderately, and to give it an opportunity to run over a glossy glaze.
FuzzyChef > Celedon 1234 on my characteristic swirly teacups. The one on the left was dipped for 5 seconds; the one on the front right was dipped for 5 seconds twice to get a missed spot.
FuzzyChef > celedon 1234 on bowl. I really, really like this one and am keeping it to eat out of.
